In 5 countries, we have developed protocols and applications supporting community and facility health workers in provision of high quality visits for pregnant and post-partum women. These applications support nurses and community health workers in registering and tracking pregnant women, taking medical and obstetric history, screening for danger signs, performing physical examinations, ordering lab tests and referrals. These programs have resulted in increased detection of high blood pressure, anemia and referrals for complications as compared to pre-intervention. Our applications also support sharing of information between the various levels of the health system including tracking of referrals and sharing of key visit information between the CHWs, primary and secondary health facility levels.
