Health systems are the glue that holds the work of individual health workers together. Health systems are what ensures availability of drugs at a health center; ensures a competent and motivated health worker is available when you are sick; provides statistics to managers about the population and the workforce; ensures that money is used as it was intended and achieves the desired result. Although D-tree International’s work is focused on improving provider competence and quality of care, the information that we provide also helps managers plan and manage the health system more effectively and efficiently.
“The innovation that has been developed by Dr. Mitchell and his colleagues is to reimagine what a health system is given the recent advances in technology and to develop an information based system that avoids many of the constraints that have plagued traditional health systems for centuries.”
Dr. Julio Frenk, Dean, Harvard School of Public Health
